Abstract

This research article claims that a research project needs to be undertaken to gain an idea of the current state, strength and potential of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Bangladesh. It also proposes to set goals for the identification, protection and development of tangible and intangible cultural expressions in Bangladesh. Various expressions and elements of tangible and intangible cultural heritage found in the country have already been identified. This identification has been completed on the basis of fieldwork and similar research reports. Bangladesh can now, after identifying and evaluating all types of expressions, provide them with the necessary positive, incentive and defensive protection. The real impetus and validation of this study is that if its results are implemented, the link between the history, heritage and tradition of Bangladesh will be strengthened. In addition, commercially vibrant and live expressions will contribute to our national growth and sustainable development. In this research article, some interrelated stages and levels have been proposed in the research method.
