remarkable. Two theater groups in Dhaka have produced plays based on the legend of 'Khana'. Both productions are highly appreciated. The name of the play produced by Loko Natyadal is 'Lilabati Akhyan'. Another one is 'Khana', a production of Battala Natyadal. This article has focused on the process of presenting this legend on the urban stage along with a comparative review of the two productions. Besides, the use of Bengali traditional elements on stage, acting, lighting, aesthetics and audience in those productions are also presented here.
