Abstract

স্টেম সেল হলো এক ধরনের বিশেষ কোষ, যাদের বেশ কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বৈশিষ্ট্য রয়েছে। তারা নিজেদের মতো আরও কোষ তৈরি করতে সক্ষম। আর স্টেম সেল থেরাপি, যার আরেক নাম রিজেনারেটিভ মেডিসিন বা পুনরুজ্জীবনের ঔষধ! এই থেরাপি মূলত রোগাক্রান্ত, আঘাতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত কোষকে মেরামত করার কাজে এখন ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে। পৃথিবীর অন্যান্য দেশের মতো বাংলাদেশেও এখন নানা ধরনের দুরারোগ্য রোগের চিকিৎসার স্টেল সেল থেরাপির ব্যবহার শুরু হয়েছে।

Stem cells are a special type of cells that have two important properties. They are able to make more cells like themselves. And Stem-cell therapy, also known as regenerative medicine, promotes the repair response of diseased, dysfunctional or injured tissue using stem-cells or their derivatives. Like other countries of the world, Stem-cell therapy is now used in Bangladesh for treatment of different types of non-curable diseasees.
