Abstract

পরিবেশের সঙ্গে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের সম্পর্ক নিবিড়। বাংলাদেশ আজ জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের প্রভাব সংক্রান্ত পরিবেশ বিপর্যয়ের প্রথম সারির শিকার বলে ‘পরিবেশ, জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন ও বাংলাদেশ’ সম্পর্কে সর্বস্তরে জ্ঞান লাভের একান্ত প্রয়োজন দেখা দিয়েছে। তাই এ প্রবন্ধটিতে বাংলাদেশ প্রেক্ষাপটে সংক্ষেপে পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের মৌলিক বিষয়গুলোর ওপর আলোচনার মাধ্যমে বৈশ্বিক পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনে বাংলাদেশের অবস্থা ও অবস্থান বর্ণিত হয়েছে। এ প্রসঙ্গে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের প্রভাব মোকাবিলা, ঝুঁকি হ্রাসকরণ, অভিযোজন ও ক্ষতিপূরণ সংক্রান্ত বাংলাদেশের অগ্রগতি ও সম্ভাব্য পরবর্তী পদক্ষেপ সম্পর্কে আলোকপাত ও আলোচনা করা হয়েছে। 

Climate change is the part and persel of environment. Now-a-days Bangladesh has become the topmost victim of environmental calamities related to climate change impacts; therefore, gathering knowledge on the Ôenvironment, climate change and BangladeshÕ has now become an essential learning task for all. In this brief article in respect of Bangladesh the basic knowledges on environment and climate change aspects have been discussed in order to show the position and situation of Bangladesh touching global environmental and climate change aspects. In this regard the progresses and possible future tasks of Bangladesh for impact mitigation, risk reduction, adaptation and compensation of climate change impacts have been focused and conversed.
